Does anyone know if the book "Stargirl" or the sequel "Love, Stargirl" will be turned into a movie?

I fell in love with the book "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli since 2006, and a sequel was made in 2007. I was wondering if there may be a chance that it would be made into a movie? I know that if there was possibly going to be a remake of the book into a movie, it would've been made already. But the movie "Flipped" was based off a book made around the same time, so I have some hope. So does anyone know if there might be a remake of this book into a movie?
