Is it safe to use contacts that are a little to big than you need?

I already have prescription normal contacts. I have really wanted colored contacts because I always thought they looked pretty cool! So I look online and find a decent pair and it was FDA approved so I knew I could trust them. It was about $30 per contact so about $60 together. I thought it was a resonable price and I have been saving up. I would feel bad if my parents bought them for me. This pair of contacts are a little bigger in DIA and BC. MY BC is 8.4 and MY DIA is 14.0. The ones I want are BC-8.6 and DIA-14.5. Would it be fine if I got some that were slightly bigger? Would they be safe and alright for my eyes? Please help!
