So my questions a little different than most tanning and acne medication questions. I already know from first hand experience what will happen if I tan in a tanning bed while using my acne medication (Ziana). I burn the h*** up!!! So what I'm needing to know is can I just wait till this burn goes away and get back in the tanning bed burn a little bit less and keep doing this until I no longer burn?? Will that ever happen? Because I honestly have my doubts... So my other option is just quit using the medication. Tanning usually clears up my acne quiet reasonably anyways. It makes me sick. I was raised to everyone being quiet at dinner. Nobody talked. If my father talked my mother told him to be quiet, if my mother talked my father told her to be quiet. Ok so my friend's parents where on holiday and about 10 people (our closest friends) came round for a quiet night in. Not sure why you think "horrifically bad" but I got the picture. The purpose of telling a story, be it fiction or non, is to communicate a thought or idea. I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

Help Choosing A Hamster?

I've had cats, a few dogs, and have never had a hamster. I'm moving out into another apartment soon with only a betta fish for a pet and my hubby. They'll get him off the alcohol and into therapy, and give him more of a chance of stopping drinking. I already have prescription normal contacts. I have really wanted colored contacts because I always thought they looked pretty cool! So I look online and find a decent pair and it was FDA approved so I knew I could trust them. It was about $30 per contact so about $60 together. I thought it was a resonable price and I have been saving up. I would feel bad if my parents bought them for me. This pair of contacts are a little bigger in DIA and BC. MY BC is 8.4 and MY DIA is 14.0. The ones I want are BC-8.6 and DIA-14.5. Would it be fine if I got some that were slightly bigger? Would they be safe and alright for my eyes? Please help!

I've been researching what's in my food lately, and it seems that most additives in foods are unsafe?

Artificial sweeteners and preservatives seem to be the biggest culprits. Some thickeners have bad side effects like guar gum, not in everyone it seems, but they're there none the less. I'm wondering how the FDA can approve of all of these additives? I know they do many studies to find if they are "safe" but I feel like there are so many angles and other variables to take into account that they don't, such as outside studies. I think that most people expect boys to tell sexual, immature jokes and not girls. I think there are different subsets of what is called "depression". Some are caused by a person's subconscious or even conscious; some forms are due to diseases; and some forms are due to a combination of the two and genetics and a problem with the rewards, pleasure pathway in the brain. It's my belief that all currently FDA approved medications act only as placebos, accept maybe for a select few individuals that may have experienced a traumatic episode in their lives. I believe, for people that have been suffering from symptoms of depression, and chronic fatigue, and felt "off" all their life their is a genetic problem. Also, the drugs available to treat such "biological" depression (though I don't think it can be considered depression if it is biological or medical) is woefully impotent. We have the FDA not approving any drugs that actually are shown to relieve "depression"- especially in the 40-50% of of depressive patients that get no relief from the current "placebo" antidepressants-because they act to quickly and thus are deemed "addicting". The only thing the FDA will improve, and the pharmaceutical companies will pursue, are long acting drugs, that really have no effect except for the placebo effect. As someone that fits somewhere in these categories, I can attest I have never felt any benefit from every category of antidepressant when on it for weeks! Nothing. I can not believe that these drugs are even approved. The pharmaceutical companies, research bio-psychiatrists and all scientists involved in mental health have no concrete clue as to how the current so called antidepressants work (which I believe they don't), because they have not been able to measure quantified regions of the brain consistent with depression and subsequent improvement as related to these medications. Psychiatrists are a joke for people with a biological problem causing the depression or total body and brain loss of certain characteristics. The current research on antidepressants, is all by accident, coincidental. A certain drug designed for something else, happens to cause a lift in mood for a small subset of patients. Therefore it must be an antidepressant!....The serotonin theory pushed by some, has no basis at all, with regard to antidepressants. To prove this, they are several drugs approved to treat depression that actually reduce serotonin! Personally, I'd rather take the chances of living as a so called addicted person, with feelings, emotions, and contribution to society than suffer decades due to our government rulings and propaganda by psychiatrists and pharmaceutical companies.

I'm honestly lost about what to do at all about this. Me and this guy have been friends for over two years now. He used to tell my friend that he liked me whenever she asked and he can picture himself with me or something like that. That was right before summer 2010. Usually over the summer his mom (she's over protective) keeps him from doing a lot with anyone except his one guy best friend. So I didn't see him at all that summer. Then school started again and even though we didn't have any classes together but we basically spent every break with each other between classes. At the end of the year this year I ended up having a lunch with him, but him and his friends were the only ones in my lunch. He told me he wanted me to sit with them and he didn't want me sitting alone, so I wasn't exactly sure whether he really did want me there or he just didn't want me sitting alone or whatever. Eventually I stopped sitting with his friends and he basically chose me over his friends and sat with me over them and I kept asking why he was sitting with me when he wanted to be with them. And he said he didn't and he liked it better over here with me. Whenever he's around his friends he gets really talkative but when he's around me he gets really quiet and he says it's cause he can't think of anything to say. Then, he invited me and my friend over his house cause he lives on a lake and has a boat and a jetski. So we went over and his parents automatically knew who I was but they never explained why and that was the first time I've met them. And they favored talking to me more over my friend. And he said at the beginning of summer we should hang out again but we haven't texted or talked at all yet and it's been a few weeks. He's told my friends again that he supposedly does like me and his friends told me he talks about me a lot and they make fun of him whenever I'm around. But he says he's not ready for a relationship or something and he has to be sure he's ready. But he never tells me any of this. It's always my friends. And I'm really confused about all of this. I got my ears pierced back in May and after 6 to 8 weeks I was told I could take them out. So after 6 weeks, I took them out. SCREAM fans only??!!?

No Wes definitely didn't run out of motivation, in fact I believe the fact he came back to the series is a testament to his devotion and love of the Scream franchise. I simply adore the Scream franchise I saw the first movie when I was 9 and it changed my life, I am now 24 and completely obsessed with the horror genre and hope to write horror novels someday all thanks to Mr. Craven. I really liked Scream 4, I think the pacing was excellent, the double opener was done brilliantly and the twist was a serious WTF moment in horror history. I really liked the reasons and motivations of the killers. In this day and age of celebrity culture, everybody is desperately seeking their 15 minutes of fame and I think Craven utilized this facet of our consumer culture to satirize a generation that has been brainwashed by the glitz and glam of hollywood. Then again possibly reading too much into it but that's what I got out of it and I stole a poster of it from the cinema afterwards to immortalize seeing the movie! Wes has stated that he is going to take a break but the writer of Scream 4 had penned the concept of a new trilogy so if they decide to do a 5th Scream Wes Craven has the choice to do it or not, but here is hoping. Is there a way to transfer my music library/playlist/song counts from my iTouch to my new iPhone 4? Im not talking about dragging everything from the library back to the iphone im talking about transfering all the data/info from my iTouch to the iPhone. When i bought my new iTouch it autoatically copied everything from my older itouch and was perfect. This Phone is a diff story though, it didnt automatically sync my old library and playlist, instead it wants me to RECREATE everything, it wants me to manually transfer songs from my library to my iphone and remake my playlist and restart the listening count. I guess it really depends on ones gene pool. My mother has been smoking since she was 14 and now at 85, is as healthy as a horse. No cough, no lung problems, no associated diseases. She has always been a fresh air devotee, walking as much as possible and has never had a smoking related problem. Well, I like to make videos on WMM and post them on YouTube. I think that my videos are too boring without music, so once I tried it and YouTube disabled the audio, and i deleted the video. So, I decided to remake the whole video except with pitching the audio. I got a song editor and did that, but Windows Movie Maker doesn't accept it. It says that I don't have "the required codec" installed on my computer. I tried downloading the codec, but it didn't work. My niece is 25, she was born legally blind with a condition called aniridia, absence of the iris, she got through school and college by holding books about 5 or 6 inches from her face, she lived with a roomate while in college as she will never be able to drive. Last year, she went on vacation with her parents(my sister) and they discovered her sight was alot worse, she was bumping into things, could not read any menus which she used to do, etc. They took her to different eye doctors and found out that a surgeon in Ohio (we are in SC) could do several surgeries on each eye, they are still in the experimental stage, but so far she has had 3 surgeries on each eye, each stay for surgery requires that they stay in Ohio for 10 days in hotels and eating etc. up there while she goes back and forth to make sure she doesn't reject the meds and her eye is doing well after each surgery. She now has beautiful irises, she was able to pick her color and she chose a blueish green. She also has lots of pressure, glaucoma and cataracts, they have done some work on those but are not finished. She is on disability even though she works a part time job at a department store and she has medicaid, but most of these surgeries are not covered as they are in the experimental stage. The next surgeries she willl have, that is one eye at a time, will be stem cell replacement, they will be up there 10 days again, then home and back for other eye.This is not FDA approved in US yet,but I heard it is fixing to be approved soon, but that could mean a year or 2. We have had various yard sales, bake sales,a poker run, etc, to raise money for them to pay the docs, some want money up front. Cooks for Christ put on a fundraiser yesterday for her at the fire department and everyone worked it, maybe about 350 to 400 volunteers, afterwards we stood in a circle and said a prayer of thanks and they made the announcement that the bake sale had made $1100 and the total of everything was $19,400 which they took over in a container to my niece and handed it to her. She has an account set up at a bank for donations and our church said there are still more donations coming in. Will they have to pay taxes on this, my boss just brought it up and I told her I have no idea. If anyone can give me some information, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Whats with all these remakes of old movies?

To me it seems like the remakes of old movies are insulting to the original. Such as Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, i heard theyre redoing dirty harry too. And the worst is they want to make a new godfather with a small portion of old unused screenplay written by mario puzo. Please help.... Today I have a really bad day.... my class have to go to kayaking and the instructors are super fierce.... When I went to kayak, i feel like I am in the army. I tends to be a little bit slow, cant get it straight to the point and have difficulty understanding and the instructors just hurt me both physically(he pull me up from the water rapidly and my butt hit a hard metal) and mentally by scolding me.... I really tried my best and it is my first time kayaking... I'm 16 and have been bullied throughout my life for being different. Also my family is kind of poor and I do not have the things that the more popular girls adore. At my present school I was a late starter (because I was physically very badly bullied at my previously) and although people were nice to me at first, a vicious rumor was spread by someone (apparently i slept with her 'popular' boyfriend) and the entire year will have nothing to do with me now. I've never had any friends and am an only child.Most recently, i accepted an invitation from one of the more popular boys in school to prom (apparently he thought i should have a good time for once), turns out he did this to make fun of me as he already had a date and told the rest of the year about it. That day i stood alone in the corner of the room for half an hour, after this I left the school for the quiet of the grounds were i sat for the rest of the evening. Later i was greeted by people honking and laughing at me through their cars (I had to walk home). My grades are poor no mater how hard I try and I am always very ill which again people make fun of me about-and i may have to retake the year. I think that something must be really wrong with me for this bullying cycle to happen continually.
