Are there still houses out on the moors in England?

I've just finished watching the 2009 BBC remake of Wuthering Heights and I love the idea of having a house out on the moors like that. This classic novel supposedly takes place in North Yorkshire, England. But I don't know a whole lot about the geography over there. Does anyone know if I could find a house like that out on the moors? Or are homes like that just found in fairy tales? Any* feedback is welcome. (: If you actually live* in England and know about it personally or anything, that's great too! (:
